Actress/Writer/Comedian Mindy Kaling is known for being a master of the pop culture reference and it looks like the Wrinkle in Time star has been applying that talent to her parenting style as well.
On Wednesday morning, Kaling hit up Twitter with a confession that it seems loads of other parents could relate to and even pop star Camila Cabello (and a few others) could get onboard with, as well:
When you have a baby and you feed her banana for breakfast and sing ÛÏbanana-na-na-naÛ to @Camila_Cabello ÛÏHavanaÛ, she thinks itÛªs lame

If you’re one of like 12 people on the planet who have not yet heard Cabello’s latin rhythmic pop song or seen the comedic Telenovela homage in her video, wellÛÓhere you go (*you’re welcome):
And it DOES look like Cabello has performed this version of her song before . . .
But Camila had just one question for Kaling:
is it weird my mom feeds me breakfast like this too? https://t.co/0qi4NnpYKD

But it looks like some folks may have gone there before either of them:
We’re actually really big fans of the banana version… pic.twitter.com/RRgQru8k2K

My daughters choir director re-wrote the whole song for the kids to sing as banana-na-na-na _Ù_£_Ù_£

Fans had plenty of support for Kaling’s parenting techniques:

Keep singing. Eventually, they turn 10, love Weird Al and every song is morphed from Havana to “banana-na-na-na” #anotheroneridesthebus

Stay strong, Mindy. My daughter is 16 and still sings ÛÏmacaroni and peasÛ to the tune of ÛÏIt Had To Be You.Û

This isn’t the first time Kaling has gone bananas over a pop song:
Here’s that vid, as well . . .
Well, one thing’s for certain we’re all going bananas . . .
