John Boyega Had A Run In With Some Stormtroopers At Disneyland—And It Did Not Go Well For Him ????

John Boyega is a British Nigerian actor that most people lovingly know from Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi.  His character, Finn, or FN-2187, was a Stormtrooper who escaped from the evil First Order after being shocked by the Order’s cruelty on his first field mission. The First Order has branded him a traitor, and he is to be executed.

So when Finn visited Disneyland to see a new expansion to the park called Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and was spotted by some Stormtroopers on patrol, things did not go well for him.

Boyega shared the encounter on his own personal Instagram story.

“The Fugitive is in custody,” says the cold, electronic voice of the Stormtrooper.

Obviously, fans thought this was amazing.

Boyega is currently completing shooting for the untitled Episode IX, set for release in December 2019.

Episode IX will take place one year after the events of The Last Jedi.  Most of the main cast will reprise their roles, including Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Kelly Marie Tran, Joonas Suotamo, Billie Lourd, Mark Hamill, and Anthony Daniels.

Episode IX will be the first in the long-running series to be shot after the death of Carrie Fisher, who has portrayed Princess/General Leia Organa since the series’ inception in 1970.

Boyega’s co-star, Oscar Isaac (who plays Poe Dameron, a pilot for the Resistance whom Finn helps escape the First Order) says the movie deals with Fisher’s passing in “a beautiful way.”

Isaac told the Daily Beast that Fisher’s “absence is felt keenly on set.”

“It’s a strange thing to be on the set and to be speaking of Leia and having Carrie not be around. There’s definitely some pain in that.”

Disneyland plans to open Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in mid-2019.

We would advise John Boyega to avoid the new themed area at all costs. There are likely to be Stormtroopers.
