Chris Pratt Violated The Rules On Set Of ‘Endgame’ By Taking An Epic Behind-The-Scenes Video—And We’re So Glad He Did

(Technically speaking, this article doesn’t really spoil anything from Avengers: Endgame, but if you want to be on the safe side, go ahead and come back to this article after you see it.)

The secrecy surrounding Avengers: Endgame was absolutely insane. From the news that Robert Downey Jr. was the only actor to read the whole script, to reports that some actors didn’t even know who they were acting against, Disney and Marvel did everything in their power to prevent any leaks.

Sometimes, this took the form of a draconian rule about actors using their smartphones to take videos on set. This calls for a roguish outlaw, or at least an actor who plays a roguish outlaw in movies, to take a stand.

Enter Chris Pratt.

Pratt was struck by how insane it was to have all these great actors together on screen, and they were all just standing around on set. Despite the rule against filming anything on their phones, Star-Lord wasn’t going to let that stop him.

He takes out his phone and does a slow pan around the set, getting footage of everyone there from Dave Bautista, Chris Evans, Chadwick Boseman, Robert Downey Jr. and even Sean Gunn.

It is pretty dang amazing.

If you think you were blown away, some famous faces felt the same.

This is a pretty rare occasion. Avengers: Endgame combines over a decade’s worth of superheroes onto the screen, being the culmination of nearly two dozen films.

While there will surely be future Avenger films, this is likely to be the biggest for a long time. And if rumors are to be believed, it may mark the last Marvel movie for some of our favorite actors.

All of this is to say, yeah, getting to see these actors together is pretty iconic.

Avengers: Endgame opened this weekend to a massive $1 billion box office in just a few days. The film is the culmination of a decade of film making, tying together several storylines from Marvel movie history.

It stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Karen Gillan, everyone in the video above, and let’s be honest, if you need more, you can take a look at Wikipedia. There’s a lot.
