Meeting Beyoncé isn’t easy for anyone, even if you’re the star of one of television’s most popular shows.
Emilia Clarke, who plays dragon queen Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones, got the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet the singer at an Oscars afterparty and, sadly, things didn’t go that well.
She told Jimmy Kimmel the story. You can watch it here:
According to Clarke, Beyoncé was a fan of the series and approached Clarke at the party.
“She [Beyoncé] voluntarily came up to me, open-faced like, ‘I wanna talk to this girl.’ And I just messed it up. She was clearly a fan and I ruined it.”
How did Clarke mess things up?
Well, it might have had something to do with that noise she made:
“I think I started crying. Exactly that noise came out of my mouth. And she was like, ‘Hey this is uncomfortable now. I thought you’d be cool, you’re not cool, bye.’ And I was like, ‘No, can I get you a drink?’”
The sound that she just made. LMAOOOO 🤣

Kimmel asked if Jay-Z was also a part of the exchange.
Unfortunately, he was:
“Yeah, he was like, ‘Sup?’ He witnessed it all.”
– Beyoncé really is the khalessi of the world
– Beyoncé tried to make Emilia Clarke her khalessi but she ruined it.
– Episode 5 is gonna slap hardest https://t.co/ASSAxzfrml

Clarke would do anything to get a second chance at meeting real-life queen Beyoncé.
“I absolutely love her. It breaks my heart how much I messed it up.”
She is the most precious person 😭😭😭😭

Clarke says to watch and be prepared for episode five, urging viewers to “find the biggest TV they had.”
