After several years keeping quietly out of the headlines, Britney Spears has had a flurry of recent activity that’s left some fans reeling.
This week, Spears was granted a restraining order from the Superior Court of California County of Los Angeles against Sam Lufti, a former member of her inner circle.
The order requires Lufti to remain 200 yards away from Spears.
Here's your Britney Spears update! As you probably know she has gotten a restraining order against Sam Lutfi — he's a look at what she and her family are saying about him and why they think he's a threat @HLNTV @MikeGalanosHLN pic.twitter.com/t0aCaoyGfu

It also bars Lufti from making “disparaging public statements” about Spears, her family or her management.
Spears’ parents and children are named as “additional protected persons.”
No. He’s trouble…. her team is awful but so is this guy.

When filing for the order, Spears submitted an 81-page document to the courts detailing how Lufti spent years trying to “insinuate himself into Ms. Spears’ life with disastrous results for her.”
Part of it read:
“Beginning over a decade ago, Lutfi began pretending to have a professional association with Ms. Spears, even falsely claiming to have been her manager, when in reality he was only a parasite attempting to gain attention by associating himself with her celebrity and attempting to keep her isolated and under his influence.”
“Only through the intervention of the conservatorship years ago (and obtaining a temporary restraining order) was he effectively extracted from her life and her well being restored.”

Marc S. Gans, Lufti’s lawyer, told CNN:
“We are disappointed in the result, and feel it is overly broad and violates Mr. Lutfi’s constitutional rights. This order is only temporary, and we look forward to arguing the matter more fully in the upcoming hearing for a regular restraining order.”
The court filing goes on to detail Lufti’s more recent actions, saying “shortly after Ms. Spears checked herself into a mental health facility, Lutfi began a new campaign of harassment against Ms. Spears and her family:”
“In the last week alone, Mr. Lutfi has made dozens of disparaging and threatening comments on social media and in interviews.”
“He has sent threatening texts to Ms. Spears’ family, he has leaked confidential information, and is considering leaking more of Ms. Spears’ (actual and fabricated) private information.”
He's STILL tryin to get at her?

Spears also claims Lufti sent her mother “a long and unhinged text message that includes harmful, disparaging and ominous remarks in an effort to disrupt the conservatorship.”
Finally!! Years too late

The singer announced earlier this year she would be stepping away from an upcoming tour and possible new album to help care for her father, who was having health issues.
She and Jamie got one after the conservatorship took over. They can be granted “for life” so her getting a new one now is dumb and her dad would’ve had to file this not her. Nothing she does rn, especially legally, is “her”

Spears’ father is also her conservator, who is responsible for managing her choices and finances. But Britney’s mother, Lynne Spears, recently filed for her own attorney included in an upcoming hearing regarding the star’s care system.
Many suspect the Spears family is taking steps to remove her ailing father from the responsibility of the conservatorship.
