Okay, this is where the Marvel Universe gets confusing.
However, this also leaves the door open for a huge plot hole.
However, FFH‘s trailer seems to suggest that none of the other members of Peter’s class aged, either.
As much as I think Peter Parker & Friends being back in high school is a plot hole, did we really think that Aunt May wouldn't kick his ass if he didn't get his high school diploma? #SpidermanFarFromHome

The Russo brothers say a lot of things. Kind of like they claim that Peter Parker’s entire class got snapped to explain away the massive plot hole of nobody aging 5 years on the cast.

jacob batalon saying “biggest plot hole ever” abt peter parker+ everyone still being in high school in 2025 is my favorite thing ever

Not one for plot hole talk but Jimmy Kimmel brought one up I cant shake. If Endgame took place 5 years after then why are Peter Parker and co still in HS in their new movie? pic.twitter.com/awl8xAh3cl

Ya once the stones were replaced none of that mattered, my plot hole came with the whole Peter Parker walking back into highschool 5 years later with the same friends waving at him lol

Holland himself was completely perplexed by this.
In an interview with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live! he was asked why the cast of FFH were all still in high school.
His response? He straight up turned to his cast and said “Why ARE we still in high school?”
Meanwhile, Cobie Smulders just said “I don’t want to pull that thread. But y’know, I-I don’t know.”
Jacob Batalon also acknowledged it may be one of the “biggest plot holes of all time.”
Hold up how is everyone all grown up in Avengers: Endgame besides Peter Parker and his friends? Cuz Antmans daughter was hecka old but Peter Parker, Ned, and MJ are still in high school??? I sense a plot hole

You’re telling me that Peter Parkers friends are still in high school AFTER 5YEARS, but the last time we saw Cassie Lang(AntMan & The Wasp) she was 8 and now in Endgame she’s a teenager!? LIKE THAT MAKES 0 SENSE. I’m not the only one who noticed this plot hole, right!?

SPOILERS. SPOILERS. @MarvelStudios can you please explain the plot hole of Peter Parker in high school? He went back to see Ned, and it was never confirmed if he survived the snap or not. If he had, he would be 22, correct? If he hadn’t, what about the rest of the school?

The best explain this big old plot hole that formed after End Game
— Rebecca Lynn Phelan (@ms_Beccalynn) May 11, 2019
But it is a plot hole. They should be around 21 years old. If they were born in say, 2002 and were 16 at the time of the snap, 5 years have still passed. Sure they didn't age, but they are 21 year old juniors.

Nearly everyone in his high school? No, but Flash, MJ, Betty and Ned did get snapped. I assume the other kids in their AcaDec group didn't, and they're now in college. You can complain about probabilities, but it is not a plot hole.
— callie (@calliemiles_) May 10, 2019
But yes, every single character is still there.
And nobody really understands why.
People wondering how they are still in highschool in five years:
The world aged in the snap. They didn't. They stopped existing temporarily. They're the same age and everything as they were five years ago. Not a plot hole. You're just dumb.#SpiderManFarFromHome #SpiderMan

BECAUSE TIME WORKS DIFFERENTLY IN THE QUANTUM REALM AND SCOTT LANG HADNT AGED SO NONE OF THE DUSTED PEOPLE HAVE AGED….just had to fill in that plot hole. Whew, that was killing me. @TomHolland1996 #Endgame #SpiderManFarFromHome https://t.co/Alb7DkTiKq

The #SpiderManFarFromHome trailer should – but probably won’t – calm the cries of “plot hole!” where time travel is concerned. There can be no paradoxes because essentially time travel is impossible – instead, you simply travel to another dimension. 1/

You guys might not know this if you don’t read comics, but “the snap tore a hole in our dimension” is nerd speak for “anytime you notice a plot hole a wizard did it”

The film is slated for release on July 2nd.
Hopefully, we will see how that plot hole develops.
