Emilia Clarke Hoping Beyoncé Still Likes Her After The ‘Game Of Thrones’ Finale Is Honestly All Of Us

Warning: There are spoilers ahead for those who haven’t seen the series finale of Game of Thrones.

Emilia Clarke, who played Daenerys Targaryen in all eight seasons of HBO’s popular fantasy drama Game of Thrones, is a huge Beyoncé fan.

One of Clarke’s biggest challenges during her stint on GoT was to keep mum about the fate of her character.

Like the rest of her co-workers, the British actress was sworn to secrecy despite having known about Daenerys’s dramatic exit for two years.

“I had no idea what to expect for this last season. I hoped for some juicy things to get into, as I always do for each season,” Clarke told the New Yorker, “but I didn’t see this coming.”

But what caused her the biggest anxiety was disappointing her idol, Beyoncé.

Back in February, Clarke attended an Oscar party hosted by Beyoncé and Jay-Z at the Chateau Marmont. She was captivated when Bey approached her and complimented the actress’s work on the show.

Beyoncé — who Clarke described as “this vision, this angel, this incredible woman” — called her “brilliant.”

“I just couldn’t handle it!” recalled the starstruck actress. “I was on the verge of tears. I could see myself reflected in her eyes.”

Clarke checked herself, realizing she might come off as a crazed stalker.

“I could see her go, ‘Oh, no. I misjudged this. This girl is crazy and I’m not going to have a real conversation with another celebrity. I’m having a conversation with a crazed fan who’s looking at me like a rabbit in the headlights.’ Which is exactly what I was.”

In a vulnerable moment, Clarke nearly violated her non-disclosure agreement and was on the verge of revealing Daenerys’s tragic death after leading a massacre at King’s Landing.

“And all I wanted to scream was please, please still like me even though my character turns into a mass-killing dictator! Please still think that I’m representing women in a really fabulous way.’ ”

Fans reassured the actress that Bey wouldn’t banish the anti-heroine from her kingdom.

Reactions to the series finale were mixed, with an online petition circulating on the internet by angry fans demanding for a remake of the eighth season with “competent writers.” The petition garnered over a million signatures.

But there were plenty of other devoted fans who relished every moment and were satisfied with the ending and the overall production and performances.

Meanwhile, Team Daenerys continued mourning the loss of the Mad Queen.

As for what Beyoncé thinks, who cares?

Whatever the public may think about Dany, you can’t blame an industry fangirl for going a little mad over a pop star, amiright, Bey?
