Jim Carrey’s Latest Political Portrait Might Actually Appeal To President Trump

We all know Jim Carrey as a beloved actor and comedian. While he was known for straight up comedies like the Ace Ventura and Dumb and Dumber franchises, he also made a star turn in the movie Man on the Moon in which he played the late comedian Andy Kaufman, as well as in dramas such as The Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Of late, he’s been making news for a different form of creative expression. He’s been making political paintings.

This past March, he graced us all with this portrait of President Trump that he hoped might be considered for the Smithsonian…

He also created this chilling portrait of John Bolton…

This riff on the Scott Pruitt scandal…

And this bleak Bannon…

But on Monday, he tweeted out his latest portrait of FBI director James Comey with a simple implication…

Yes, that despite the former FBI Director’s seemingly pure intent, the impact is that he helped throw the election to Trump, who Comey himself has called ‘morally unfit’ to be President.

Many were just impressed with Carrey’s skills…

Others wanted to see these pieces of art in person…

And most people thought he really was capturing the essence of his subjects…

The world is a better place thanks to Mr. Carrey’s art.
