The subject of President Donald Trump’s mental fitness for the job became a topic of debate ever since he began campaigning.
Citing his erratic behavior, eagerness to lie and constant rejection of reality, at least one high-ranking official on the White House staff even wrote an anonymous OpEd for The New York Times, to assure the public they were trying their best not to let the President of the United States kill us all.
And according to Yale University psychiatrist Dr. Bandy Lee, White House officials approached her, concerned for the President’s mental health and seeking her services.
Dr. Lee—who wrote the book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump: 27 Psychiatrists and Mental Health Experts Assess a President—told Salon:
“[They] said that Trump was ‘scaring’ them, that he was ‘unraveling.”
“Not wishing to confuse the role I chose, as an educator of the public, and a potential treatment role, I referred them to the local emergency room without inquiring much further.”
Twitter was not surprised by many of Dr. Lee’s allegations.
Amazing. As a professional citizen, voter? I saw in 2015 this guy was a nut job, a showboater and a pervert. Is the passage of legislation worth this? ' You betcha' chimes the gop chorus.

So, it was just another average day?

He was pretty fucking scary from the get go, what's any different?

That would imply that he was once raveled

Lee’s allegations come days before the publication of a new book by legendary investigative journalist Bob Woodward called Fear: Trump in the White House.
Like the content of the anonymous New York Times OpEd, Fear asserts that the President’s own staff lost faith in his ability to lead, with some even going so far as to steal dangerous memos and orders off his desk before he can sign them.
While the President is decrying the book as fiction, Woodward is a journalism veteran whose investigative work alongside Carl Bernstein for The Washington Post proved instrumental in uncovering the Watergate scandal.
Woodward and Bernstein co-authored All the President’s Men detailing their experience. Since then, Woodward—who is now an associate editor for The Washington Post—wrote 17 more books about Washington politics covering every President since Nixon.
But the cumulative claims also have many unsettled.
If this is true his cabinet is putting our nation in jeopardy by not doing anything!!! This is scary

He scares me and I'm on the other side of the world.

He scares a lot of Americans on a regular basis.

Mr. Trump should seek the help he needs, perhaps medication and talk therapy. He is a danger to others. I am hopeful someone does something ASAP for the sake of the world.

Now this is a whole different level. It is not funny.

Trump’s White House staff, the Cabinet and Congress face increasing pressure to go public if they actually believe the President is mentally unfit.
The public is pushing those who spoke out anonymously—rather than continue putting out fires as they come for the sake of maintaining the illusion of a unified White House—to take their concerns to Congress and invoke the 25th Amendment.
Anonymous and your colleagues of like mind must come forward to Congress. We cannot afford to allow @POTUS to use his impulsive instincts and send us to another war! Your duty is to the country, not an unfit and unstable @POTUS. #25thAmendmentNow https://t.co/IxtMvLWx9o

And yes, many of you have asked if Bob Woodward's revelations will be included in this moment. Of course it will be.

It’s unclear how or when the Trump presidency will end, but lately it seems like even his own staffers hope it ends soon.
