Some doggos can do a trick for a treat, and others flat-out beg for them, but Negro is a special exception.
He insists on buying his own treats, and paying for his own food, like everyone else. What a humble pup!
Negro is a four-legged, tail-wagging resident at the Diversified Technical Education Institute of Monterrey Casanare in Colombia. He has lived there for the past five years, and provides companionship, smiles, and a lot of love to the students earning their degrees.
One is bound to notice certain routines after living in the same place for five years. And one of those things? Students give the cashier these small, green pieces of paper and in exchange, they get a treat.
Being the curious pup that he is, Negro decided to further explore the concept of commerce, and give it a go himself.
“One day, spontaneous, he appeared with a leaf in his mouth, wagging his tail and letting it be known that he wanted a cookie.” Angela Garcia Bernal, a teacher at the school, said.
Since then, Negro has returned to the shop time and time again to not beg for a dog-safe cookie, but purchase one. Don’t ever mistake him for a freeloader! He is beyond intelligent, and his creativity and innovation is downright brilliant.
Plus, he did figure out where money comes from and go straight to the source, didn’t he?
Did he pay taxes? Does it even matter?
He was intelligent enough to get this far, there’s no doubt he factored in sales tax. Right?
I bet he is was not taxed on that leaf.
