Pastor Franklin Graham Unleashes Anti-Gay Tirade After Jimmy Carter’s Quote Saying Jesus Would’ve Been Fine With Gay Marriage Resurfaces

“I believe Jesus would approve gay marriage. That’s just my own personal opinion.”

Former President Jimmy Carter said that, probably between building houses for Habitat for Humanity. The quote may be from 2015, but that didn’t stop evangelist Franklin Graham, son of the late Billy Graham, from taking to Facebook to spread homophobic vitriol.

Like his father, Franklin Graham has long had a history of anti-LGBT platforms and words. He’s often claimed that Satan is the force leading the fight for LGBTQ rights.

Fortunately, social media isn’t taking his words lying down.

And they weren’t afraid to bring his father into it either.

Graham may be facing harsh criticism, but somehow we think Carter will be too presidential to respond.
