Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is apparently a huge fan of the HBO show Ballers — and particularly the show’s star, none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
On Sunday the 69-year-old lawmaker tweeted out a clip from a podcast interview in which she cops to Johnson being the reason she loves the show so much.
Check out the hilarious excerpt:

And, apparently, their mutual bond over Ballers isn’t a new thing.
The two exchanged a pair of tweets prior to Sunday’s season premier:
To all the reporters tweeting at me about the season premiere of @BallersHBO on Sunday night at 10pm ET like I haven't had this date saved on my calendar for months: I KNOW.

You reporters better put some respek on Senator Warren’s name – she is READY for our season premiere of @BallersHBO tomorrow night at 10pm on @HBO. Thank you Senator for the support – I feel we’ll deliver our best yet. You have a big Rock sized hug coming when I see u https://t.co/a56AsNolMj

Warren even keeps a signed copy of the script for Ballers on her desk:
Happy birthday to my favorite actor and not-so-secret crush @TheRock! I keep this on my desk in Washington to remember to stay ballin’. Send my love to your beautiful family! pic.twitter.com/yxfc8FE5Av

My family asks me the same thing about Ballers..it is the Rock & the football players & I love Rob Corddry…they still don't get it though. Guilty pleasure!

Perhaps this will convince Sen. Warren to change her mind about running in 2020?
