Grocery Store Deli Worker Somehow Ate $9,200 Worth Of Deli Meat—And Now She’s Facing Criminal Charges 😮

Giant Eagle, a grocery store in Bolivar, Ohio, has a major beef with one of its deli workers. They’ve accused a female deli counter worker of stealing thousands of dollars worth of deli meat.

The woman was allegedly in the habit of eating five slices of ham a day, though she occasionally opted for salami instead. The store’s loss-prevention manager received a tip about the worker’s meat-eating, and reported her to the local police. On Friday, the woman in question admitted her wrongdoings to deputies from the Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Department.

The woman worked the counter for eight years and, according to calculations by someone at Giant Eagle, if she ate two ounces of meat a day, five days a week, for eight years, she’s looking at theft amounting to approximately $9,200.

Many people think the store should be ashamed of themselves for reporting such a minor offense.

But, mostly, people are more impressed by her meat feat than anything else.

The Tuscarawas County Sheriff’s Office has since taken to Facebook to clarify that, while a report has been made, the woman is not currently facing felony charges as was earlier rumored.
