Billie Lourd Reveals Why Joining ‘American Horror Story’ Was So Cathartic For Her ❤️

Billie Lourd, daughter of the late Carrie Fisher, sat down with Entertainment Tonight to talk about her role on American Horror Story, and “how the part came around at the perfect time to help her heal from the loss of her mother and grandmother, the legendary actresses Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds.”

The deaths of Fisher and Reynolds were particularly sad as the two women died within a day of each other, causing Lourd to lose both her mother and grandmother in the same week.

She says playing the role of Winter has saved her life.

She told ET:

“When Ryan offered me Cult, it was just a few months after my mom passed, and it honestly helped me process all of my emotions through these characters. Being able to cry for Winter helped me cry for myself. And it’s been really healing and cathartic in an amazing way, and getting to be around all the incredible people on set, they’ve become like a family to me, and I cannot thank Ryan enough. Honestly, it kind of saved my life.”

Lourd certainly has the support of fans and co-stars.

Lourde also discussed the new Star Wars.

We wish Lourde all the best in her career and life.
