Ohio Man Goes Above And Beyond To Spend Time With Flight Attendant Daughter Who Had To Work On Christmas

An Ohio dad wasn’t about to let his daughter spend the holidays without family, even if she was scheduled to work for her job as a flight attendant for Delta Airlines.

One way or another, Hal Vaughan was determined to spend Christmas with his daughter, Pierce Vaughan, even if it meant buying six airline tickets and spending the entire day up in the sky.

A passenger, Mike Levy,  who was seated next to the elder Vaughan, struck up a conversation and learned about Hal’s Christmas travel itinerary.  He took photos of the father and daughter and shared their story on Facebook.

Levy captioned the photos:

“I had the pleasure of sitting next to Hal on my flight back home. His daughter Pierce was our flight attendant who had to work over Christmas ☹️. Hal decided he would spend the holiday with her. So, he is flying on each of her flights today and tomorrow around the country to spend time with his daughter for Christmas😊. What a fantastic father! Wish you both a very Merry Christmas!”

Delta Airlines told NBC 5 Chicago:

“We appreciate all of our employees for working during the holidays to serve Delta customers, and love seeing this awesome Dad having the chance to spend Christmas with his daughter – even while crisscrossing the country at 30,000 feet.”

Twitter users loved the story.

This mom was honest — maybe too honest?

Not everyone thought it was so great.

For everyone else, it was a sweet story.

Dad earned his wings!
