Republicans are gloating after controversial Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh was confirmed over the weekend. NBC’s Saturday Night Live enjoyed the last laugh, perfectly lampooning the GOP’s obsession with beer loving judge Kavanaugh.
Here’s a sneak-peak into the GOP’s celebratory locker room.

The cold-open featured SNL standouts like Kate McKinnon and Pete Davidson playing senators Lindsey Graham and Jeff Flake. They celebrated Kavanaugh’s confirmation in the most fitting way possible: by chugging a few beers and partying through the night.
Democrats are pretty miserable this week, but most agree the sketch brought some comic relief.
Cecily Strong’s Collins was kinda cathartic…I needed that laugh tonight (esp the Ambassador Rice line)

Me, laughter is the best medicine

Of course, humorless right-wing trolls were out in full force.
Hilarious? You must not get out too often do you?

It was hilarious! It’s current. In fact since the orange sh!t show in the WH has arrived SNL ratings have soared! So much material. Their sketches write themselves. Very funny!!!

Shame on you for believingnin guilt rather then relaying on evidence. Which is Nell.Susan Collins is a free thinker. Liberals have a hard time with that. I hope Liberals wage more of a ruckous, so it pisses off more Conservatives and they vote Dems out in November!!!!

Respectfully I beg to differ. Laughter is one way to channel rage at travesty. In this case another way is to get out & #Vote

Think why the success. Every week y’all doing over the top stuff. Truth is stranger than fiction.

While most enjoyed the cold-open, others thought it was too soon to joke about Kavanaugh’s confirmation.
I thought the same thing. Too soon.

I agree. This isn't funny. Some serious shit taking place in this country. A comedic parody doesn't change this. We all need comic relief but also really need a good, funny script.

This sketch is reminiscent of the iconic SNL episode following Donald Trump’s election in November 2016. Sure, it’s tough to laugh after you’ve taken a major political defeat, but it helps!
Just don’t forget…the fight against Kavanaugh isn’t over – it’s just begun. Make sure to vote this November and get involved to turn the tide against the GOP in this coming election. We’ll drink to that!
