‘The Good Place’ Star Jameela Jamil’s Video Parodying Celebs Who Promote Detox Products Is Spot On 😂

Actress Jameela Jamil made a video spoofing celebrities and social media influencers who promote controversial diet and detox products online—and Twitter loves it.

With previous jabs at Kim Kardashian, The Good Place star is no stranger to calling out celebrities who promote a “gross culture of forcing women to remain small and doll-like in order to be accepted by society.”

In this latest backlash, the 32-year-old Brit specifically calls out Cardi B, Iggy Azalea, and Khloe Kardashian for promoting Teami, a controversial natural detox tea that’s marketed for weight loss.

The video is captioned:

“If celebs and influencers were actually honest with us about some of these diet/detox products…”

Jamil called out Cardi B on Twitter after Cardi announced she was going to use the tea to help her lose weight after giving birth.

Jamil tweeted:

To which Cardi humorously clapped back:

“I will never shit my pants cause there’s public bathrooms everywhere … oooo and bushes.”

To which Jamil responded:

Jamil is passionate about calling out fake diet products, and the celebrities and social media influencers who promote them, because she herself has struggled with the pressure of maintaining a certain weight.

Jamil has suffered from using similar products in the past:

Now, it appears Jamil is on a mission to educate and condemn:

Many commenters on Twitter found the parody hilarious:

Others were a bit turned off by the unsavory sounds and depictions:

Though her supporters were quick to back her up:

At any rate, the video serves as a good reminder to research any product before using it, and don’t just blindly trust a celebrity or YouTuber because they say it’s good.
