Kanye West Was Busy Looking At His Phone During Broadway Show—And One Of The Actors Called Him Out

Last night was opening night on Broadway for The Cher Show, a memorable evening that featured, among other things, Cher coming up on stage to perform with the three actresses (Micaela Diamond, Teal Wicks, and Stephanie J. Block) who portrayed her at various stages in her life.

It was an exciting night for all!

But Kanye West seemed to have better things to do while everyone else was performing. Actor Jarrod Spector, who plays Sonny Bono in the show, noticed Kanye was having a little trouble focusing on the actors’ performances.

Spector tweeted mid-show and tagged West:

Roasted.

Unfortunately, he got some blowback:

But then Michael Hull pointed out that this makes no sense at all…repeatedly.

Other theater dorks are legit obsessed with this tweet, though.

Kanye tweeted back at Spector, apologizing for his poor etiquette:

But Spector was perfectly within his rights to call out a rude audience member.

People, it’s simple. You are never allowed on your phone at a Broadway show. Ever!
