Memes rarely make a whole lot of sense, even if you’re in on the joke, but the latest twitter meme is even more confusing than usual.
Newly released Netflix film Bird Box, based on a novel by Josh Malerman, sounds…complicated.
“Five years after an ominous unseen presence drives most of society to suicide, a survivor and her two children make a desperate bid to reach safety. A malevolent presence lurks outside. If they look at it, they’ll die. It’s safe inside the house — but they’re running out of food.”
The film stars Sandra Bullock, Trevante Rhodes, Sarah Paulson, and John Malkovich.
Bird Box was released on Friday, but not everyone has had a chance to see it yet.
In an apparent effort to prevent spoilers, twitter users have been sharing seemingly random photos or GIFs with the phrase “Bird Box spoilers without context”.

Maybe there are pop tarts in the movie?

This one makes even less sense than all the others.

Could this be a viral marketing campaign made by Netflix to confuse people into watching the movie? It so, it’s definitely working!
