Twitter Reacts To The Earth Being Sucked Into A Black Hole And Everyone Is Surprisingly Fine With It

Physicists at Princeton University and the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Waterloo, Ontario reached a conclusion that would have been alarming…if we didn’t live in this decade.

The physicists were examining gravitational waves, which exist in space and move at the speed of light. The study mainly focused on the most powerful of these: circular waves, which occur when large objects in space begin to orbit each other.

Physicists found that, should these waves collide, the result would be a massive black hole that would swallow Earth and irrevocably change the landscape of spacetime as we know it.

The reaction to this news in this the year of our lord 2018? “We’ll take it.”

And when talking about the end of civilization, the current president and his “space force” inevitably came up.

The formation of the black hole would rely on a very specific set of conditions, which haven’t occurred yet. It looks like civilization is just going to have to be patient.
