We’ve all had bad days at work. We’ve all had days when our technology won’t cooperate and we end up beyond frustrated… but most of us don’t have those kinds of work days on camera.
Most of us, though, aren’t UK-based reporter Ben Bason.
Typically, when most people think of a reporter we think of the person in front of the camera. In our imaginations, they’re working hand-in-hand with a camera operator.
That might have been the norm years ago when cameras were larger and heavier than they are now, but modern technology allows for a reporter to just set a camera on a tripod and shoot all by themselves.
That’s not always an upgrade.
Ben Bason was assigned to report on an upcoming Ed Sheeran concert to be held at a field. Since it was a simple segment, he opted to shoot the piece by himself using a tripod, but Mother Nature clearly wasn’t in the mood to deal with a reporter that day.
It turned out to be one of the windiest days in recent history, which lead to one of the funniest videos on Twitter right now.
Warning: Ben vents his frustration with some “colorful” language take after take, so brace for a few f-bombs.
This is what happens when you do a self-shot piece to camera on the WINDIEST DAY EVER (excuse the bad language) pic.twitter.com/RmIPjTVwNO

Talk about a glorious montage of failure! We’ve all been there, Ben.
Twitter fell in love, probably because this was so incredibly relatable.
It’s a mood, that’s for sure.
This just keeps looping on my screen and I’m lolling every time 😂

That language sir…
It earned you a follow.
This is why I carry a massively heavy camera bag whenever I go shooting stills or video

Are you sure that this camera isn’t possessed by the spirit of Monty Python? pic.twitter.com/i7Fz3mq7Gm

Poor Ben wasn’t the only reporter to have their segment go sideways.
I feel your pain!

So just remember, the next time you’re having “one of those days” at work, you’re not alone. Ben (and tons of people on Twitter) have all been there, too.
