Former President Jimmy Carter Just Slammed President Trump On TV

Former President Jimmy Carter appeared on The Late Show and when asked by host Stephen Colbert if America wants a “jerk for president” Carter replied:

Apparently, from this recent election, yes. I never knew it before.

Carter was on the show to promote his new book,  Faith: A Journey For All, but couldn’t get away from the Trump questions. Colbert wanted to know the best qualities for a president and Carter answered in what appeared to be a direct dig at President Trump:

I used to think it was to tell the truth. But I’ve changed my mind lately.

Again speaking of Trump, Carter added:

I pray that he’ll be a good president and that he’ll keep our country at peace and that he’ll refrain from using nuclear weapons and that he will promote human rights. So yeah, I pray for him.

The people showed much love for Carter.

Others praised Carter for continuing his good work after leaving the White House.
