Seth Rogen Claims Stormy Daniels Told Him About Her Alleged Affair Over A Decade Ago

Comedian, actor, and filmmaker Seth Rogen spilled the beans on The Ellen Show on Monday, telling Ellen that Stormy Daniels confessed to the 35-year-old Superbad funnyman over a decade ago that she was sleeping with Donald Trump.

Here’s the clip from The Ellen Show. Ellen brings up Stormy Daniels at the 2:04 mark:

At first Rogen eases into the conversation, casually saying, “I’ve known Stormy Daniels a long time and I’ll be honest she may have mentioned some of this stuff around ten years ago.” But before listeners could get too hung up on the words “may have,” Rogen says how unremarkable it was at that time — before confirming that she did in fact speak to him about the affair:

At the time when you ask porn star who they’ve been sleeping with and they say Donald Trump, it was like the least surprising thing that you could have said. So yeah she mentioned it actually. She did mention it and again at the time it wasn’t that surprising.

Rogen and Daniels go way back. She had roles in two Rogen joints: 2005’s The 40-Year-Old Virgin and 2007’s Knocked Up.

Twitter users found it hard not to laugh as they listened to Rogen tell the story:

Stormy Daniels has featured prominently in the headlines since she alleged she had an affair with Donald Trump in 2006. She has also claimed she was paid $130,000 for signing a non-disclosure agreement just prior to the 2016 presidential election. During a recent 60 Minutes interview, Daniels said she felt pressured into signing the agreement.

Some commenters weren’t surprised:

So why didn’t Rogen mention it sooner? In is own words:

And as his campaign rolled out it became clear that no one cared about anything he did so it didn’t  really occur to me that it would come out or anyone would care about it. But when it did I was like ‘oh yeah, Stormy told us all about that!’

A little bit later in the interview, Ellen asked Rogen why Daniels appeared in two of his films.

Seth explained, sending the audience into fits of laughter:

In our movies sometimes there was two scenes in strip clubs and we realized it was easier to hire porn stars to play strippers rather than get actresses to play strippers who were not in porn, ’cause for Stormy that was the easiest thing she did all week. If your goal was to be a more mainstream actress it’s perhaps a step down but for Stormy it seemed lateral at worst and perhaps an easy day on set.
