The Cast Of ‘The Walking Dead’ Is Paying Tribute To A Superfan Who Died Of Cancer

On Tuesday, a beloved and devoted fan of The Walking Dead passed away after battling lung cancer. Her name was Lisa Williams and she was a regular at Walking Dead conventions and other events. The cast and crew of the post-apocalyptic AMC series posted comments on Wednesday to honor her memory and reminisce about meeting her.

Here’s the main statement from the show:

Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl on the show, posted this heartfelt message on Instagram:

Lisa always stood out as one of the best. She will be missed by all of us that were lucky enough to know her,” tweeted Jeffrey Dean Morgan who plays Negan on the show.

The affection the two have for each other is palpable in the photo he posted:

Morgan and Reedus posted a message on Instagram sending love and get well wishes a few weeks before Williams passed:

The Walker Stalker Convention—which Williams attended—shared a photo of her with Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes), and wrote a thoughtful message testifying to the positivity and good works Williams’ spread to the world throughout her life.

They wrote:

Lisa Williams, one of our lifetime Platinums, was the living essence of what we envisioned. And she exceeded those expectations, as she utilized her love and position to raise money to serve others through her charitable endeavors. She used her lifetime to give experiences to others. Her memory and legacy doesn’t end with her unfortunate passing.
