Robert De Niro And Al Pacino Just Auctioned Off A Lunch With Them—And It Wasn’t Cheap

One lucky (and apparently, extremely wealthy) fan, is in for the lunch of a lifetime with iconic actors Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. The anonymous bidder spent $110,000 to attend a private lunch with the stars. The auction was to raise money for the Tribeca Film Institute.

The nonprofit’s website states their goal as:

Tribeca Film Institute champions storytellers to be catalysts for change in their communities and around the world.

Each year, we identify a diverse group of exceptional filmmakers and media artists then empower them with funding and resources to fully realize their stories and connect with audiences. Further, our education programs empower students through hands-on training and exposure to socially relevant films, offering young people the media skills necessary to be creative and productive global citizens.

So what does $110,000 buy the winner? A one hour lunch and drinks, with one guest, the opportunity to have a small item autographed and a photo with De Niro and Pacino. Sounds like a bargain to us!

The two actors, who have appeared on-screen in The Godfather: Part II, Heat, and Righteous Kill, will collaborate once more in Martins Scorsese’s upcoming The Irishman.  The movie is currently filming in New York and is expected to hit theater’s in 2019.

To be fair, these guys aren’t spring chickens.

We’re not too proud to say we are jealous.
