In the last 24 hours, U.S. Olympic medal winners, figure skater Adam Rippon and his BFF, freestyle skier Gus Kenworthy, have been having a good time playing with the people of Twitter. First off, they shared their super haute cover and photo shoot along with their interview in the latest issue of Out Magazine to a Twitter fandom of gushing followers.
Then, they jumped on board the “If/Then” trend train full speed ahead:
if you then you
don't love don't deserve

Suffice to say the Twitterverse flipped their wigs for it:

While it left others feeling a little, well—lightheaded:

But some, including internet funnyman Matt Bellassai, pointed out that Rippon and Kenworthy looked just as amazing in their “If” pic as they do in the “Then” shot:
You can't speak on behalf of ugly people bc you're beautiful and your Twitter is one of the best.
— Gus Kenworthy (@guskenworthy) April 5, 2018
you’re supposed to look bad in the first pic adam

I feel like acting like the left photo is bad is rude to us regular folk @Adaripp

The meme only works if you're both ugly in the first photo.

Yep. 1000% too hot for this.

Regardless of whether or not Rippon and Kenworthy really “got” the game’s intention, no one was disappointed in either their “If” or their “Then” offerings with many asking for more:

If there’s one thing we’ve all learned from Rippon and Kenworthy’s antics it’s this:
Best friend goals ❤️❤️
