Classic ’80s Cartoon ‘M.A.S.K.’ Is Finally Coming To The Big Screen

Fans of the retro animated series M.A.S.K. are thrilled with the latest update about a movie in the making. Despite rumors about the reboot of the classic cartoon and multimedia franchise folding, some new information indicates the movie is on after all.

F. Gary Gray, a well-known producer and director behind movies like Fate of the Furious and Straight Outta Compton, has signed on with Hasbro and Paramount.

The animated series M.A.S.K., which stands for Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, had a popular line of action figures, futuristic transforming cars, and more.

People are getting excited for the revival of an old favorite:

While there haven’t been many details given about the movie, it will be a live-action film.

Some fans are worried that a live- action adaptation might ruin the series:

The premise of the franchise is a task force fighting against the criminal group VENOM.

Most who grew up watching the series are stoked for the film:

Could this bring about reboots of other classic cartoons? Voltron? Thundercats? Both are in high demand…

Still no word on the release date, or further film details. Stay tuned!
