The buzz has been pretty strong for ‘Deadpool 2,’ thanks in no small part to star Ryan Reynolds and his “merc with a mouth” approach to the character.
The film opened on Friday and has already received some glowing reviews from fans.

Oh man, Deadpool 2 is really good fun. All the hilarity and self-awareness of the first film but it also manages to be quite subversive and weirdly sweet. Thoroughly enjoyed myself (also you’re gonna wanna stick around for those post-credits). pic.twitter.com/CVaSAqvE0v

On Thursday, in advance of the film’s release, 20th Century Fox unveiled a hilarious TV spot for Deadpool 2 in which Deadpool shows up at David Beckham’s house to apologize for a certain comment made in the first film.
You can watch the ad below:
In the spot, no matter what apology strategy Deadpool tries, Beckham resists any attempt at repentance. He turns his nose up at cookies, a mariachi group, and balloons, until finally FIFA World Cup tickets melt his cold heart and he gives Deadpool a nice hug.
Of course, Deadpool goes too far in the hug.
But it’s David Beckham….who wouldn’t want to keep holding him?

Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds is living his best life.
Is there any difference between him and his comic book character?

Reynolds clearly relishes the Deadpool character and his relentless sense of humor and we are HERE for it.
