Mayer spends the entire video in a sloppy outfit of a sweater hoody, too-short pajama pants, and blue sneakers – but that’s not even the oddest part. The entire video was shot in front of a green screen and it’s really nothing more than a series of disconnected images.

The low budget video falls within the “it’s so bad it’s good” category, and the near zero effort put into it is kind of charming. In a tease for the video posted Thursday, Mayer asks: “Is it good? Define ‘good.’ Is it content? You’re damn right it’s content.”

While one may expect negative backlash for a slapdash attempt at a music video, it’s clear the internet is quite fine with the low budget method. “Now this is what I call content,” one Twitter user tweets while another praises the musician, stating: “John Mayer won the internet today.”
