One Devoted Marvel Fan Has Watched ‘Infinity War’ 43 Times And Counting

How many times can you watch the same movie? In 2016, Movie Mezzanine reported on a fan of Zootopia, who had seen the film 100 times. Keep in mind the bulk of that were “at home” viewings. In 2010, Guinness World Records awarded the “Most films seen in one year” to a Puerto Rican woman that went to the movies more than 1,132 times in one year, but that included many different movies. Guinness may want to keep its eyes open on Marvel superfan Nem: The Infinity Watcher (@NemRaps) on Twitter.

As of June 7th, 2018, 11:00 am PST, NemRaps accumulated 44 consecutive viewings of Avengers: Infinity War – and he’s kept every ticket stub to shut down naysayers. The self-proclaimed “Independent Artist” and YouTuber didn’t start chronicling his movie-going experience until his fourth viewing on April 30th.

From that point, he was sure to capture as many viewings as possible, posing in a new Marvel-themed t-shirt in front of a movie marquee. NemRaps’ journey from one to 44 viewings has been intriguing to watch, especially once he garnered the attention of IMAX, which offered him 50 free tickets to “keep the streak going!”

That wasn’t the only incredible news NemRaps’ movie-going experience warranted. In a tweet on June 7th, the YouTuber explained how Anthony and Joseph Russo, the film’s directors, reached out to him on Twitter and invited him to the premiere of Avengers 4, slated to release sometime in 2019.

To celebrate? That’s right, he returned to his local AMC theater to nab that 44th viewing. As you read this, NemRaps is probably already on his way to his 45th screening as he plans to hit that “magic number,” which can be assumed to be 100 viewings.

The Marvel fan’s experience has, of course, drawn out a lot of questions and he addressed what are likely the four most frequent that have been thrown his way.

NemRaps has received plenty of positive attention, and as his journey continues, so will the support from fellow Marvel fans.

Of course, he was also met with plenty of lighthearted envy over his attendance to the Avengers 4 premiere.
