Beyoncé and Jay-Z had fans buzzing when they kicked off their On the Run II tour. Not only were fans excited for the music, but they also believed they were getting a glimpse of the superstar couple’s infant twins. Since giving birth last year, there have been very few photos of Sir and Rumi Carter.
So when the tour kicked off in Cardiff, Wales, with two large photos of Beyoncé and Jay Z holding twins with a card between them reading, “Love Is Universal,” fans naturally assumed the children were theirs.

Wrong! Turns out the babies were stand-ins. A rep for the couple confirmed that the babies were not, in fact, Sir and Rumi.
No, those are not Beyoncé's twins in the viral photo going around.
Her rep was quick to confirm that they aren’t Sir and Rumi.https://t.co/pLcKkXUj7c

Needless to say, people were confused.
Huh? There’s a whole video of them holding the twins with blue looking at them. I’m so confused. https://t.co/dYkU8MzGJd

But there was an upside to those two mystery babies.
Imagine growing up and finding out Beyoncé used you as a baby to fool the world. I’d put that shit on my resume. https://t.co/UsRl8bcv6L
