I don’t even know what sort of ridiculous narrative was this episode trying to set.. nonsensical stuff,”

On Saturday, Chopra took to Twitter to apologize for the episode:
I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I’m a proud Indian and that will never change.

ABC subsequently issued a statement that read:
“ABC Studios and the executive producers of Quantico would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode, ‘The Blood of Romeo.’ The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it.
She has no involvement in the casting of the show or the storylines depicted in the series.”
And people also took to Twitter to voice their support for Chopra in the wake of the episode’s airing:
You are purest. The best. You don’t need to apologize babe. You haven’t done anything wrong. Your fans love you. That’s all that matters. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

This news comes just days after ABC announced they would be cancelling Roseanne after insensitive comments were made by the show’s star. Quantico is currently in its third and final season.
Some people have commented on the how little time has passed between the Roseanne scandal, and now, the Priyanka Chopra controversy.
Hmm.. So @ABCNetwork fires @therealroseanne for a racist tweet then proceeds to air an episode of Quantico with racially insensitive subject matter? I’m not offended by anything but it’s fun to watch the mayhem and lunacy unfold. pic.twitter.com/axKSOYZUoI
