When a celebrity dies, their fans react in different ways.
While the typical reaction is sorrow that leads to a period of memorializing the individual, there’s the rare occasion when something toxic emerges. In the case of recently murdered rapper XXXTentacion, sadly, it’s the latter.
On Monday, Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, known by his stage name XXXTentacion, was found shot to death in his BMW.
In response to his murder, fans have started to mimic the rapper as he was found shot dead. The “XXXTentacion Challenge” involves people slumped over in their car as if they’ve been shot.

The new challenge has been met with mixed reactions on Twitter.
Some fans were outraged the rapper’s death has essentially been turned into a game.
Y’all tortured and bullied this man while he was alive and now y’all won’t even let him rest in fucking peace. I’m convinced y’all won’t be satisfied until one of ya friends die and people make fun of their death. #XXXTENTACIONChallenge

Others, disturbingly, don’t find the challenge offensive at all.

The challenge is a strange reaction to the rapper’s death, but one participant put a different spin on it.
If anything I’m bringing attention to his death and making people more aware of the govt cover ups
