Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Completely Shut Down A Guy’s Tweet Trying To Call Out Her Upbringing ????

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is taking the world by storm right now. The Bronx native has pulled off a serious political upset, and it’s won her the support and praise of people all around the world. To some, Ocasio-Cortez represents hope that the average person’s voice still matters. Her entire platform and message is one of sameness; Ocasio-Cortez is just like the average voters in her district.

She’s the Jenny From The Block of Politics — stuntin’ on her opponents like:

Ok, so she’s probably not actually going to threateningly flash her abs at anyone, but she’s more than happy to go head-to-head in other ways, and she just proved it to millions of people on Twitter. News talk show host John Cardillo took a shot at Ocasio-Cortez and her “average person” campaign on Twitter with a tweet that was half-accurate, at best.

The tweet tried to paint Ocasio-Cortez as a privileged liar.

It might have worked to discredit her in the eyes of a few people, too, had he been even a little bit correct in his information. Ocasio didn’t go to an Ivy League school, and the house is practically a shack as far as some people are concerned. It’s under 1000 square feet, falling into disrepair, was shared between five people, and was something that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s mother had to work very hard to afford as an upgrade from the housing projects Alexandria lived in as a child.

No worries, though. Ms. Ocasio-Cortez had exactly no problem helping John Cardillo to get the most accurate information possible. His followers and viewers deserve no less, after all.

Things just went downhill for John from there.

Like… really downhill, you guys. Twitter came down with a sudden collective case of sarcasm. Oh no!

John Cardillo was confronted with evidence, an army of people pointing out how wrong he was, and the knowledge that Ocasio-Cortez grew up in the Bronx, went to college in Boston, then came right back to the Bronx to support her family — her father passed away due to cancer, so Alexandria stepped up as the primary breadwinner. And he still wouldn’t back down! Instead, Cardillo doubled down on his attack. He acknowledged that he was wrong about her education — but insisted she was not a girl from the Bronx… despite her literally being a girl from the Bronx.

This Just In: Girl From The Bronx Doesn’t Count As Girl From The Bronx?

John, Are You Okay???

We will update you when Cardillo figures out what it takes to count as a girl from the Bronx in his eyes, since being a literal girl from the literal Bronx wasn’t enough. Stay tuned, we guess?
