It was a jaw dropping episode of America’s Got Talent on Tuesday night. One couple’s trapeze act got a LOT of attention—and not for the right reasons.
Trapeze artist couple Mary and Tyce were performing their high-flying routine when Mary, hanging upside-down, slid down her husband’s body and out from his grasp, plummeting to the stage before the eyes of the studio audience, their two-year-old son Jaxx, and the completely gobsmacked judges.

Holy crap! A husband and wife trapeze act went HORRIBLY wrong on @AGT when the wife plummeted to the ground. We're still horrified from watching: https://t.co/8hrfJbIloo #AmericasGotTalent pic.twitter.com/0kKnjcW9vQ

But some folks were suspicious and they made a few good points…
I call bullshit….dude never took off his blindfold to see for himself if she was ok, he just hangs there and “asks” if she was ok. They obvi planned this stunt. pic.twitter.com/wgQOLTHWkU

Fake stunt or fake husband, if it was my gf I’d have jumped down immediately and held her so tight. He waits to even hug her

Others bought it hook, line, and sinker:
I can’t even I think my stomach is still stuck in my throat. Thanks for that @PerezHilton

Check out the whole amazing act BEFORE the fall:
Mary is reportedly fine. According to People, a heavy mat broke her fall. She got back up during the show, smiled, and exchanged a kiss with her husband. She even asked the judges if they could have a second chance, but they were overruled by Simon Cowell.
Cowell reminded the couple:
You nearly broke your neck.
Fall or no, the pair gets to advance to the show’s live rounds.
Just remember Tyce, when it comes to holding on to your partner, a promise is a promise.
We’re looking at YOU Rose.
