Danai Gurira and Andrew Lincoln portray Michonne and Rick, respectively, on The Walking Dead. Their on-screen love was reportedly brewing since Season 3, but it was Season 6 Episode 10, “The Next World”, when the romance became official.
Twitter kept tabs on their love using the hashtag, #Richonne.

But fans of the couple have recently had their hearts broken when news broke that Andrew Lincoln was leaving the show.
Apparently new of his departure was never meant to get out, but after it did the cast thought it best to address the rumor at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).
During The Walking Dead panel, Danai spoke directly to her on-screen lover saying, “It’s been an honor sir”.
She later spoke directly with HuffPost and shared even more words of love and admiration for Lincoln.
“This is the only show I’ve worked on as a regular. I will say that I truly believe [Andrew Lincoln] is the best leading man on television, and I truly believe that he has made us all better. His leadership, his character, his discipline, his heart, his generosity, his kindness have really paved a path for all of us to understand how to carry on without him, even though it’s extremely painful to. As we said, the death of the relationships that happen when Rick exits are very real, but at the same time he’s so equipped us to carry on, which is what Rick really does. I couldn’t be thankful enough for the time I’ve gotten to work with him and learn from him and understand him.”
Yahoo Entertainment also interviewed Danai where she added that “it was gutting” when Lincoln told the cast about his plans to leave.
Fans, too, are gutted to learn about Lincoln’s departure.

The love, admiration, and overall friendship of Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira is heartwarming. AL is one of the best I've ever seen.

Lincoln assured fans at SDCC that his time with Rick Grimes is far from over, and, boy, do we hope that’s true.
