Construction Worker Surprises Elderly Man In McDonald’s With A Random Act Of Kindness ❤️

An Australian man, aptly named Dave Love, was waiting in line at McDonald’s when he noticed the elderly customer next to him was having some trouble counting out what he’d have to pay from a large pile of coins. Seeing an opportunity to help, Love stepped in and offered to pay for the man’s lunch, then gave him a $20 note so he wouldn’t have to count out any coins for his next meal.

Little did Love know his partner, Melanie Langley, was filming the encounter. She shared the video to Facebook and wrote:

STOP SCROLLING, this WILL make your day, I was in tears This man melts my heart I had no idea what he was up to as he ordered his morning coffee but quickly realised and couldn’t not video this incredible act of kindness.

She went on:

Your true character is revealed when nobody’s watching
Oh and you wouldn’t believe it, his surname is LOVE

He bought this old mans coffee, breakfast and gave him $20

Oh and I told him I wasn’t videoing as he would’ve made me turn it off

As the elderly man put his change back in his pocket, Dave joked:

That’s going to weigh you down now!

Love then insisted the man take $20 “for your next coffee.” The pensioner refused but eventually relented, saying:

Thank you very much…you’re a gentleman, thank you

When Love returned to his partner, he told her what he’d done:

He’s standing there with a whole heap of change. He’s a pensioner and he’s old, so I paid for his meal and I gave him $20. It is what it is, honey, it’s life.

The post has gone viral, with over 3 million views, 15,000 comments, and nearly 50,000 shares. People love Love!

Let’s all try to remember: what would Dave do? And when we see a chance to do a nice thing, take it.
