Chris Rock’s New Role On ‘Fargo’ Season 4 Sounds Like An Intense Ride

As FX gears up for the next chapter of its hit show Fargo, the network has announced that actor and comedian Chris Rock will be joining the cast for season 4 of the series.

The new season of the critically acclaimed show will be set in Kansas City during the 1950s, against the back drop of the two great American migrations — when Southern Europeans from countries like Italy, and African-Americans escaping the Jim Crow South, all converged in Northern cities like New York and Chicago.

Rock is slated to play an African-American crime boss who swaps sons with his Italian mafia counterpart in an effort to foster peace between their two factions. Things take a turn when the Italian mob boss dies during a routine surgery, but FX is keeping a lid on what happens after that.

In a press release, FX described the season 4 plot as “a story of immigration and assimilation and the things we do for money.”

A self described fan of the show, Rock says he’s excited to work with Fargo showrunner and creator Noah Hawley.

Production is scheduled to begin in early 2019,m with the season premiering later in the year.

Fans were intrigued by the season 4 plot, and excited to hear Rock would be joining the cast.

Though some were shaking their heads about the story’s “not Fargo” location in the new season.

But for most, it didn’t seem to matter as eager fans have already begun to theorize about the new season’s plot.

Wherever the story is set, with the addition of Chris Rock and the dramatic new plot, the next installment of Fargo looks like it’s going to be a wild season.
