Man Reveals His Secret For Getting His Wife The Perfect Gifts—And The Internet Is Majorly Impressed

Jordan and TyAnna from Westfield, New Jersey, have been happily married since March, and dated for three years prior to their big day. What, one might wonder, is their secret for a successful relationship? The answer is a lot simpler than you might think: Jordan created a secret pinterest account and follows TyAnna’s boards for gift ideas.

It took a hot second for Jordan to convince TyAnna he was date-worthy:

I had been trying to convince TyAnna to let me take her on a proper date. She finally said yes for Valentine’s Day our senior year.

Once she agreed to a date, Jordan knew he had to score the perfect gift. But what?! A mutual friend suggested he check out TyAnna’s Pinterest, something Jordan was more than a little skeptical about:

I had never even heard of [Pinterest] before.

Jordan created a generic-looking Pinterest account and it paid off in spades! Almost immediately, he found himself with an intimate knowledge of her gift preferences:

She’s picky and she likes things that tend to be small or handmade … so I like to get things right the first time.

Recently, however, social activist Deray tweeted about Pinterest:

Jordan couldn’t just let this go without saying anything! In a tweet that went viral before being deleted, Jordan commented:

I have a secret account that follows my wife's. She has no clue how I always get her what she wants. have a secret account that follows my wife’s. She has no clue how I always get her what she wants.

Twitter was beyond impressed.

Jordan has achieved a level of genius most romantic partners can only dream of…

…or is TyAnna the true genius?

After Jordan’s viral tweet, TyAnna is obviously aware of his little trick. However, she’s not surprised at the lengths he went to to find her the perfect presents:

I thought it was really really sweet but I wasn’t surprised because Jordan really goes the extra mile to make me happy. The Pinterest thing has definitely been working for him. He buys me amazing gifts.

If someone were to ask Jordan his gift-buying advice, however, Pinterest isn’t the most important thing:

You don’t have to be committed to giving gifts if you don’t have the money or if your significant other isn’t big on gifts. Get to know the person and commit to making them happy how they want to be made happy — not how you want them to receive it.

Jordan, you’re a romantic role-model for us all.
