Baltimore Police Officer Suspended After Video Of Him Assaulting Man Goes Viral

A member of the Baltimore Police Department has been suspended after a video of him hitting a man, posted by activist Deray McKesson yesterday, went viral…

The clip shows a man being hit repeatedly. Finally, at the end, he is left bleeding on the sidewalk.

The Interim Baltimore Police Department Commissioner, Gary Tuggle, made this statement about the video…

The statement reads…

“I’m deeply disturbed by the video that surfaced online earlier today. The officer involved has been suspended while we investigate the totality of this incident. Part of our investigation will be reviewing body worn camera footage.
