Los Angeles traffic is infamous as some of the most congested and frustrating in the nation, and drivers on the 105 Freeway in Hawthorne decided they weren’t going to take it anymore. Traffic was at a hopeless standstill after a tragic tanker truck crash resulted in the loss of two people. Delays on the freeway were unrelenting and while some tried to avoid the traffic by changing course, for some it was too late.
Realizing traffic was hopelessly deadlocked, the stuck drivers abandoned their cars and started on foot for a nearby food truck to pass the time.
News cameras caught an aerial video of the remarkable scene.
Drivers on the 105 in Hawthorne were stuck in gridlock traffic after a fiery, fatal tanker truck crash — so, a food truck opened up shop right on the freeway lanes, feeding drivers at half price. Details: https://t.co/DsTOWdLnrC pic.twitter.com/a0M1EEhOJd

Twitter agreed that—traffic or no traffic—tacos take priority.

I'd love tacos. In a weird way I wouldn't mind doing this but I live in London. Way easier to move around here using public transportation.

And many saw the incident as peak L.A.
This is easily the most L.A. Thing that has happened since I moved here.

Such a perfect L.A. picture!

This might be the most LA thing ever. Traffic, an apocalyptic road fire and a food truck. All in the same frame pic.twitter.com/ZYSJ0WwUAQ

While the traffic was surely frustrating for many, we can think of one food truck vendor who had no complaints.
