August 26, 1920 marks the day the 19th Amendment was added to the US Constitution. This amendment made it illegal to ban a citizen the right to vote based on sex, meaning women, who previously didn’t have the right to vote, now could. On August 26, 2018, Ivanka Trump attempted to tweet her support:
On #WomensEqualityDay, 98 years ago today, American women were given the right to vote.
When women around the globe are empowered to fully and freely participate in all aspects of society, the world will be more safe, just and prosperous for all! pic.twitter.com/TapYek9bBz

But given her father and his supporters’ open hostility toward women’s rights, including a brief surge of the hashtag #RepealThe19th during the 2016 election, the tweet comes off as rather tone deaf.
says the daughter of the world's greatest misogynist, philanderer, narcissist, bully, hate monger & liar. Yet you stand by his side without a single public utterance voicing any displeasure about anything he does, says or tweets. Either speak up of just go the the fuck away!

Oh, zip it, Barbie Trump. You're just as corrupt as dear old lecherous dad.
Did you know, once you've been convicted in Trump Organization related crimes, you won't be able to vote? Enjoy prison with the rest of the #TrumpCrimeSyndicate

Donald Trump’s closest company seems at odds with itself. Ivanka Trump has also expressed her support for the LGBTQ+ community, a community that Trump’s running mate Mike Pence has continuously voted against and repressed as governor of Indiana.
Awwwww…. all those women & children that slave away for her in China making her crappy knock off clothing!

And this year they’re all gonna vote blue. Bye Trumps.

Ivanka could have been a powerfully influential mouthpiece, speaking out for her beliefs, but instead she refuses to speak against her father’s destructive policies.
“The party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command.” #Resist

I think you should stop tweeting.

Talking the talk and not walking the walk but what would you know about the challenges working women have? You are a contributor of how women are treated ie low wages, no time off, no insurance and pregnancy was a no no. Oy

Daddy empowered many American women appalled by his policies and behavior to run for office and to get involved in social activism.
When you say “women around the globe”, do you include asylum seeking moms and women who are forced to work in sweat shops in that statement?
— Amy Grimm (@AGRIMMONE) August 27, 2018
Your dad is trying set us back decades.
You pitched yourself as the ‘moderating voice’ who would work on ‘women’s issues’

And quite frankly, the American people can see through it.
The world will be more safe and prosperous for all when your entire family is no longer in DC.

More bromides from the ever-vacuous Ivanka, who continues to speak in cliches, catch-phrases and cartoon balloons.
Please… no more commentaries on issues of which you know nothing. Which, in fact, should completely silence you.
We really are done, Ivanka.

As advisor to the President, perhaps you could don your advisor hat and speak with him about his verbal and historical lack of respect for anyone, particularly women. But you won’t, cuz you are his daughter and can’t. Trump women are pawns. #complicit

The clock is ticking down on President Trump’s first term in office. Trump’s entire family has been complicit in his poor conduct and destructive policies—we shall see what happens to all of them after the second election.
