O.J. Simpson was a famous football player and occasional actor well before the murder of his second wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, turned him into a household name for a much darker reason. While he was controversially acquitted, he was arrested in 2007 for an armed robbery and later convicted.
Plenty of people have tried to get Simpson to admit that he killed his ex-wife, but Sacha Baron Cohen interviewed Simpson for his new show Who Is America?
A preview clip shows Cohen, in character, trying to get a confession out of Simpson.
In his Gio Monaldo character, Cohen says to Simpson:
You’re not O.J. the touchdown. You’re not O.J. the movie star. You kill two silly people and suddenly you’re O.J. the murderer.
And Simpson repeatedly claims:
I didn’t kill nobody.
Many people gave this interview a hard pass.
He’s an affable double murderer in his blazer. Haven’t seen the show, but what does it prove, really? That people can be made to look foolish or awful? Hardly news. It’s the Ewww factor that’s the point, right, which is reason enough to watch.

No thanks ☹️

What person puts a murderer on their show and high fives them? Who needs a confession when he wrote a book pretty much telling the world he did it.
The 16 seconds of this exchange makes me sick.

Some people will do anything for money & attention.
He's getting sort of tiresome now…..

But Baron Cohen managed to impress some viewers.
How Baron Cohen got OJ in the finale for #WhoIsAmerica is beyond me, but holy crap that was an incredible way to close out the season.

That bastard Sacha Baron Cohen managed to convince OJ Simpson to do an interview on the final episode? Bloody hell. #WhoIsAmerica

Needless to say, the effort didn’t work, or the headlines would be quite different this morning.
