Julia Louis-Dreyfus Gives A Health Update Nearly A Year After Her Cancer Diagnosis

It’s been almost a year since actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus announced on Twitter that she had breast cancer, just after winning her sixth consecutive Emmy for her role in Veep.

In the tweet she said:

1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today I’m the one. The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.

Now the actress says she is feeling strong — different, but strong. Louis-Dreyfus sat down with InStyle to talk about the changes she has gone through over the last year and how she is feeling now that she is cancer free.

She told InStyle:

I do feel different, but I can’t quite articulate how. I’ve come out the other side of this, and I’m still not exactly sure how to define the difference other than to say I’m grateful, of course, but it’s more than that. It’s bigger.

Louis-Dreyfus also discussed on Twitter her new role as Key to the Cure Ambassador

Fans are just happy Louis-Dreyfus is feeling healthy and happy.

We wish Louis-Dreyfus all the best with her career and continued good health!
