One of almost everyone’s greatest fears growing up, and perhaps into adulthood, is throwing a party and having no one show up. Usually, there are some no shows. But rarely does the outsize fear that no one is going to show up actually manifest. Unfortunately, this was not the case for Teddy Mazzini, a young boy who was supposed to have a pizza party for his birthday at the local Peter Piper Pizza in Tucson, Arizona.
His mother shared this photo with a local journalist named Nick Vinzani, who then posted it on Facebook…
32 friends had been invited, and none showed up. Matt Clauser, VP of Marketing for Peter Piper Pizza in Tucson confirmed that no one showed up for Teddy’s party. Quickly, the post went viral.
Teddy found himself with tons of gift offers.

People identified with what happened.
Awesome for the VIP Treatment, but how sad that no one came – shame on those parents! :’(

That happened to my child this year. We walked around the neighborhood with a birthday balloon attached to her.(she is special needs.) And this young girl started singing happy birthday to her with about 5 younger kids around. It made her day and helped mine.

This is every kids nightmare. I remember asking my parents, “what if no one comes?” to my birthday parties.

You know, I have a really really good life, but when I turned 8, no one came to my birthday party. It still hurts (I've had amazing birthdays since so I feel blessed). I'm just glad the team is standing up for him. Good surprises really take the edge off the bad ones. #Kindness

But most just wanted to wish Teddy a happy birthday.
I want to have my students make birthday cards for him. ❤️ Can you help me get them to him? Love, a heartbroken California teacher
