Tom Hanks Describes The Ending Of ‘Toy Story 4’ As A ‘Moment In History’—And We’re Not Ready ????

There’s some new news on the “Toy Story 4” front. Tom Hanks is telling us that we need to be prepared, emotionally.

Because the ending of “Toy Story 3” wasn’t earth-wrenching enough:

Hanks said:

“When I went in for my last day of recording, I wanted to have my back to them because usually you’re facing them so you can look right up and you can talk about it but I didn’t want to see them and I wanted to pretend they couldn’t see me.”

Tim Allen, who voices Buzz Lightyear, said that he “couldn’t even get through the last scene.”

“I gotta resist getting emotional. I don’t want to give it away, but this is an incredibly great story,” he said. “It’s so emotional, it’s so funny, it’s so big. The idea they’ve come up with, I’m startled.”

Disney/Pixar has a penchant for representing large emotions in very simple ways.  Anybody else remember the end of “Coco”?

“Here’s the thing about those geniuses that are there at (Disney’s Pixar Animation Studios) and everybody who has ever been involved in any of the ‘Toy Story’ things: they invented something there,” said Tim Allen.

“Toy Story 4” hits theaters June 21st, so make sure you’ve stocked up on tissues beforehand.
