Jim Carrey is a Golden Globe award winning actor and comedian.
But recently it has been Carrey’s political illustrations that are receiving accolades. He skewered the current administration again and again with his original paintings and drawings he shares on Twitter.
His latest one depicts President Trump’s Thanksgiving call to the troops.
This phone call is a Thanksgiving tradition. Every President has made one.
Usually it is used to boost morale and express gratitude for their service and sacrifice, being away from their loved ones during the holiday.
However, President Trump used it as an opportunity to share his brand of political rhetoric. The President spoke at length about migrants trying to cross the border, conflating them with terrorists.
He fear-mongered about the state of the world and shrugged off Saudi Arabia’s role in Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi’s death. And Trump railed against the United States’ judicial branch for not siding with him on a recent ruling.
And, as usual, he took the opportunity to praise himself. The President stated during his call:
“I’ve made a tremendous difference in the country. This country is so much stronger now than it was when I took office that you wouldn’t believe it. And, I mean, you see it, but so much stronger that people can’t even believe it.”
In response, Jim Carrey tweeted out his latest painting.

Has Mad Dog Mattis become Lapdog Mattis? Are the brave men and women of our military now being used as extras in an expensive PR stunt…paid for by YOU? It’s just one of the many ways Toolius Ceasar disgraced himself and our soldiers this Veterans Day. pic.twitter.com/KwMTgZuz4I

We can’t wait to catch the next one.
