Twitter ‘Search Party’ Helps Two Childhood Friends Reunite 12 Years Later ❤️

The power of Twitter has been harnessed for good once again!

Thanks to a crowdsourced search party, two childhood friends have been reunited.

Twitter user Bri (@briannacry) and her family went on a Hawaiian dinner cruise in 2006. While there for that night, she befriended another little girl and the two had an enjoyable night.

Twelve years later, Bri put out the call to find her friend.

She made the post, not thinking too much of it until she woke up the next morning.

Her tweet had gone viral.

With everyone retweeting it, it was only a matter of time before her friend would show up.

Heii and Bri reconnected thanks to social media.

Though social media also created a new problem…

How did Heii know to come back to Twitter?

It was an event everyone could celebrate.

But some people couldn’t help but ask for their own miracles.

Bri and Heii are enjoying getting to know each other again. It’s amazing that the very technology that sometimes feels like it’s tearing people apart can contribute to bringing people back together.

And who knows?

Maybe you’ll be the next one to find an old friend.
