Most children of divorce have the same wish: for their parents to get back together. It rarely ever happens, but it seemed to happen for Twitter user @VirgoVonnie.
@VirgoVonnie’s parents went on a date seven years after their divorce, and when his mother, Katrina, texted him after the date, he had to post the exchange on Twitter. Of course, it went viral!
Katrina started by saying:
“i just kissed ya father lol”
Of course her son pressed for more, so Katrina added:
“yes and it was gooooooood and he smelled mesmerizing. i think i might just go get my man back”.
The divorce between Katrina and @VirgoVonnie’s Ivy, had not been exactly amicable.
“They wouldn’t even speak to each other the first couple of years. Me & my brothers had to relay messages,” he told the Press Association.
But they reconnected years down the line, much to his surprise.
“My mom was having issues with her ex boyfriend & called my dad to get relationship advice lol”
Some time down the road, when Katrina and Ivy were both single, they met up – and the rest is history.
The story was a runaway hit on Twitter, where Vonnie’s tweet quickly racked up over 100,000 likes:
With the internet clamoring for more information, there was one promising update:
And that’s good because a lot of people were hoping:
I just hope that we get to see it play out via screenshots in true millennial fashion lmao
