‘Black Panther’ Makes History With Golden Globes Nomination—And Fans Are Cheering 🙌

Black Panther made movie history when it became the first ever superhero movie nominated for The Best Dramatic Picture for the 2019 Golden Globe Awards.

The film which broke box office records back in April—earning more than 1.3 billion worldwide—and inspired millions to declare “Wakanda Forever” was also nominated for Best Original Score and Best Original Song.

Marvel Studios took to Twitter to announce the news.

The film’s stars Lupita Nyong’o and Chadwick Boseman shared their thanks online too.

People were stoked as word spread on social media.

According to Marvel’s press release, Black Panther is the first superhero film to be nominated for Best Picture.

The Golden Globes airs January 6, 2019 on NBC.
